so anyways, i'm new to overclocking and here's the deal:

my friend and i cobbled together a celeron 500 machine, which has 128 mb of pc133 and a 6 gb hard drive. It's an old e-machines with an unknown motherboard that runs on amibios. My friend and i got in the bios but we aren't able to figure out our next step on overclocking this.

Since we're new to this, any help you could give us would be appreciated. thanks.

Can't overclock and eMachine via the BIOS...don't think you can at all actually.

If you can you will need a program like SoftFSB or the like to raise the FSB within Windows.

Welcome to the forums as well. Glad to have you along!

Branded computers have reputations for not being a good overclocker.

They have no option to change in the bios.

I don't know if SoftFSB will work because you have to located your clock generator serial and the Emachine I think is all in the monitor :/

Other than that using the program will give you a like 100mhz increase.
