Be bold - e-mail AMD - you'll find that most of their employees don't even know. Such is the level of security and integirty that these release operations are carried out under.

Where - and is it concrete ? I can tell you that KT333 is out on 17th January - that is a true fact - what is the date for dot one three (0.13) Athlon then ?

Isn't the KT333 going to be pointless almost? The only thing they can add is /5 /6 dividers and that is about it. I mean.. Memory will run at whatever it can if you are overclocking..
Slick..

I trust AXIA as he often gives reliable information, and it will be (I hope) out in March.
Ask AXIA i'm afraid I don't know much more.

But will all your periphirals work? Remember all the discussions if this or that MoBo had 1/5 & 1/6 dividers?

Yeah I guess not... It kinda makes sense but I am going to wait around for the KT333A revision. If the difference is anything near the KT266 and the KT266A I wouldn't even bother with the kt333..

The KT333 already has the enhancements of the P4X266A P4 chipset in the memory bandwidth department, paired with the ability to run DDR333 on 266processor in asynchronous bus arrangement, supports the 8233A V-Link architechture with twice the amount of PCI bridge cross vergance at 533Mb/second, supports ATA133, AGP 8x for GeForce4 - sounds like quite a product.

As it does state within that thread - it's gained from Newsgroup gossip - which, like a quantity of forum postings at forums all over the globe is generally regarded as a complete load of bull****.
However - there may be some truth in this - I won't deny that I do suspect such. It is just that when the source of something of that magnitude is a not AMD themselves or a recognized wire such as DigitLife or IXBT, then the information has no credibility.
I am sure that within the next few days / weeks something concrete will surface, and quite probably with details of pricing per 1,000 units to the channel.
I suspect that due to issues that AMD face with ramping up on the dot one three process the initial proce for the parts may hold a similar structure to that of Intels; i.e. The top of the range 0.18 micron part will cost approximatley the same as the first introduced 0.13 micron part, although the processors cost a fraction of the price to manufacture due to the greatly reduced core size. This is of course just my speculation - we will have to wait and see when the FACTS become available - as to how fast, how much, what motherboard technology.

If you do have daily contact with AMD then you would know that at AMD they have different departments working on different things. Like little terrorist cells. :D Even the people who work there are kept in the dark on many different levels. They don't make everything common knowledge. They have some very strict NDAs there, but lets not forget that the best NDA is just not telling everyone. Don't mean to be rude, but there is a reason AMD hasn't released those dates yet...

Quite!!! That is exactly the point I'm trying to make. And don't go by gossip - go by fact.
Your location of Texas makes me suspicious of your employment !!!!

:D Now that I realize it I did kind of stick my head out there didn't I? Maybe I do, and maybe I don't...NDAs suck
The point is that if I said I did I would probably be swamped with questions...Of course if I said I didn't I will probably still be swamped...
