I have an idea that would help out team 32 a lot. I could get about 150 fast, modern PC's all folding. I would need the tray icon to not be visible, though. Can it be removed?

It's exciting to think that I could get so many PC's into the act. This could get team 32 back above team 33 in no time!

actually were in third place....(the team number is random) and we wouldnt want to do anything to get us in trouble....also i dont know how...

funnyperson1 is right. Don't do anything that will get you into trouble. but if you're allowed then read on ;)
What operating system will you be using? One answer would be to install it as a service. There are instructions for installing it as a service in Windows98/ME on our team page in the tricks section. It works as I have done it several times now.
If the OS is NT/2k/XP then the procedure for installing it as a service is different, although someone here can help you out with that.
There is also a program available called Hide-It. I believe that it can also hide the client, although I haven't tried it.

BTW. Team 33 is HardOCP ;)

As everyone else said, make sure you have permission to install it.

I would set it up as a service...I've done it with no problems in Windows 2000 using FireDaemon (I think you need administrator privelages to install it). I used the instructions at DSL Reports, the link is on our site.

I can help with the NT / 2K service question. A while back I downloaded the stuff needed to set it up as a service. I think it was posted by the teacher from OC.au.

At any rate, it all fits on a floppy and you just need to put your client.cfg file on the floppy and put it in the PC and run the install. Go the the next PC and do the same...and so on.

It creates a DIR for FAH, copies all the files where they need to be and sets up the service.

So, if you need the file, just PM me and I can post it on the web somewhere for download.
