Ok how do you do a dual boot. I was thinking maybe going with 98S.E. and XP. How do I put them on the same hard drive and how do I choose which one I want to play with.
I really wouldn't recommend putting the same OS's on the same drives as conflicts may occur.
To dual boot you begin to install Win 98 like you normally would.
Then pop your WinXP CD and install an advanced setup and there's a point where you select an Advanced option and choose a different drive or directory for it instead of overlapping it.

So in other words I would have to fomat my slave drive to add Xp.
Well not necessarly but is recommend that you start things clean.
And to get them both working together and seeing each other hard drive you will have to force the Windows XP to use a FAT32 partition.
Unless you have two partitions already laid out install the Win 98 on C and do an Advanced install on D:

Read this (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/using/howto/gettingstarted/multiboot.asp) article. If you want to read some more, go to the M$ web site and do a search of "dual boot" This one is one of those that I found there.

If you do a clean install:
Delete all partitions using 'fdisk' or 'delpart'
Create a new partition you want to use with win98
Remember DO NOT partition the whole disk!!
Activate partition - reboot - boot from win98 cdrom - install w98 (and everything else you want to run under w98 which you can also do later)
Reboot - boot from wXP cdrom - use the partitioning that comes with wXP setup and create partition of the size u like (minimum 2GB is recommended though) - then choose to install XP on new partition and then choose NTFS or FAT32 (depends if u want w98 to 'see' the drive where XP is installed or not) and then install XP!
When you reboot you will now have an option to choose which OS you want to use.
Hope this was helpful

Yeah, above post covers it. If anything, I'd suggest creating 3 partitions - (2) FAT32 and (1) NTFS. One of your Fat32's should be relatively small (enough for your OS and Programs, maybe 6 or 7 GB), about the same size as your NTFS partition. Those will be your OS/Programs partitions. Then make one with the rest of your HD space (it should be the biggest of the three) for your documents, MP3's etc. This one should be FAT32. You can't view NTFS partitions from Win98. So unless you want to set up XP on FAT32 (I recommend NTFS), this is probably the way you should do it. Unless you have 2 HD's - then make one with 1 FAT and 1 NTFS for the OS'es and use the other HD in FAT32 for data.
Oh, and make sure you install and config Win98 first. Win98 should occupy the "C" drive, because if it doesn't it gets cranky. Win2K and XP play much nicer with other OS'es.
