It's possible to change the FSB and sell it, but it's quite illegal. I think it's more probable though, that Sandra just isn't reading your CPU correctly. It has happened. Does Sandra say Celeron 566@850 or just Celeron 566??? You might want to use a program like WCPUID or MBM... just to triple check. Likewise... might not hurt to have a look-see at that processor if the HS hasn't been glued on (it happened to me... before I learned how to build computers rather than buy them) to confirm your processor isn't remarked or something.

I have read of Sandra misdecting Intel CPUs before. Try going here http://www.aoafiles.com/dafiles/CPU_and_Motherboard_Files/System_Information_Programs/wcpu30b103.exe and download that program and install it. its WCPUID and its accurate, at least on my Celey 850.
other software that i have used say that my cpu IS 850 mhz. i used WCPUID, and CPU stability test, passmark..and all say it is solid 850.
jazztrumpet216:
i have used MBM and it say i have a 850 mhz cpu.
only Sandra and HWinfo say i have a 566mhz proc...and sandra said that i have an 850 mhz cpu but it said that my proc. is clocked beyond it's limit (or things like that..)..
FYI, my proc. code is SL5GA 850mhz.
thx for ur replay ppl.

There have been several threads about this before. Intel have caused this themselves. The Celeron 850 has the same stepping/multiplier/microcode etc. etc. as the Celeron 566 and the PentiumIII 850. I guess Sandra believes 8.5x100 should be a PIII so it says that Celeron is a 566. Don't worry about it, Sandra says my in-a-box Celeron 800 is a 533a :-P
thx ppl, :D (especially Lancelot) for ur help.
i can breath now..phhhhuhhh...
Sisoft Sandra gives you all bad things about Intel systems they rate systems and stuff.
WCPUID is the best program to identify your chip.
Sisoft just sometimes is better because it identify the steppings and some stuff that you 'll have to crawl under the case to find.
