Hello guys. I sold an Amazon gift code on Ebay. I have the order number associated with the gift code (valued at $250) and the Amazon status shows that the code has already been redeemed.

The buyer now started a Paypal dispute.

What can I do? I replied to the dispute by providing a "tracking number". In place of the tracking number I put the Amazon order number and in place of a carrier I put Amazon. It was emailed through Amazon after all.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

*EDIT* Just a little update. The buyer is claiming that it was an "unauthorized transaction" suggesting someone hacked into their account and bought it. This is ridiculous.
I called Paypal and they assured me they have "special" systems and personnel that investigate these unauthorized transactions and the truth will prevail but I don't know how much I believe that.

So he's saying someone hacked in to his eBay or Paypal account to make the purchase? I'm sure they have ways to track that. As far as the giftcard one thing they should check on is the date of sale versus the date of redemption, imo once it's sold it's the buyer's responsibility so if it was redeemed after you sold it it's out of your hands.

You may want to get information from Amazon about the redemption as well, for example the order that was made and address it was shipped to if it was a physical item or other useful information such as email etc for non-physical items.
