I recently watercooled my Q9450/4870X2 based system because I didn't like the temps achieved with the TRUE120

Installation of the watercooling gear went without incident and I ran the pump off a spare PSU for about 9 hours while the rest of system was powered off. No leaks were found.

I then connected everything to the internal PSU (Corsair HX-1000)

The system powered on just fine and I used it for about an hour. Temps were fine. (about 8-10C cooler)

While I was waiting for a game to auto-patch, I stepped out to use the bathroom and, when I returned, the system was powered off.

I unplugged the PSU and checked for any possible leaks. None were located.

Symptom:

Immediately upon power up from the front button, the system starts to power up, then powers off.

I haven't even looked at the system in a week because I got in a wreck and have been laid up with herniated discs in my back, but I want to get this system running because I need something to do while I am off work healing.

The only "new" equipment I've recently installed was the water pump and the Corsair PSU. The system used to be powered by a PCP&C Silencer 750.

Any ideas?

I'd try that 750 if you still have it.

Agreed, make sure it isn't the PSU first.

Yeah, I'd go with the psu swap first off, if you don't see any water inside the case anywhere.

Cool.

I'm hoping it is something simple like that.

Thanks for the advice.

Well I removed the Corsair HX1000 and installed the PCP&C 750 and the system is fine now...GRRR!

You have no idea what I had to go through to get that Corsair out of my case, LOL.
