what do you guys think is going on here?

So in the past ive overclocked cards that when i get to there threshhold they can artifact or tear like send a sharp spike across my screen once in a while.

so anyways my 8800GTS is right now stock has been for awhile and lately ive noticed those tearing / spikes once in a while rip across my screen. this is while playing warhammer online.

what do you think is going on here? do you think there is perm dmg somewhere on the card? anyone else seeing this in warhammer online? aswell you think changing the TIM on the card would help?

First thing i always try is a driver change!

Definitely try a driver change and also, have you monitored temps to see if they're getting too high?

Change drivers and monitor your heat, you might want to reapply the heatsink compound on the video card

Grab a can of compressed air and blow out the heatsink if you haven't done that recently. Amazing, the insulating properties of dust that collects in the heatsink...
