I started a new post instead of posting in Welcome to CrossFire sticky as many people who ask questions don't read update to stickies so I figured it might receive more attention here, sorry if that was wrong.
Ok, I know I'm not the only one who's asked this question before as I've seen it here before and just seconded it.
My question to ATI was:
In CCC using the 8.10 update, under Information Center - Graphics Hardware it shows one primary adapter and a disabled adapter. I am using 2 MSI HD4870s. Is this correct?
ATI responded (this was my 4th ticket about this same issue):
This is normal. It just means that a secondary monitor is not connected.
If crossfire wasn't working then you won't even have an option in the catalyst control center to enable crossfire.
I know people here and on other forums suggested the same idea, but no one could verify or even admit they were 100% sure, so after finally getting a valid response FROM ATI, I thought I'd share it here for anyone else worried about their CrossFire setup. Hope this ends anyone elses worries, sure does for me.
