As long as you're willing to clean it well then, sure, go for it ...

Just looking at the pics, it doesn't look in bad shape. But I would want to test out the pum to maqke sure the original owner didn't run it dry and mess it up if possible.

not sure why you made 2 threads for this but as said in the other one make sure to test it b4 hand and make sure he/she never ran the pump dry.

I bought a pump and waterblock used and never had any problems. Just make sure they work and clean 'em out real good and your set.

I merged the 2 threads together. Please post only one thread about a topic in the future. :)

Are you asking how to clean them? I myself usually open my blocks and let them sit with the inside copper soaking in vinegar then scrub it with an old tooth brush and rinse with warm water. A used radiator doesn't normally need cleaning but a dirty radiator or heater core you usually let sit with some vinegar for a while (not too long) and then let some out and shake it around with a little air in the rad (so that the inside liquid can slosh around) with the fittings plugged or your fingers over them. New radiators can be cleaned with very hot water funneled in and again, shaken to try and flush out any leftover flux inside. Some people say not to but dish soap can also be used if you are sure to rinse it all out after. But usually everything new or used can be cleaned well by just flushing out with lots of warm water. :)

EDIT: Isn't £40 like $80 USD? If it is then I think you're paying way too much for this kit...

Well, if you earn 100 posts here (after 100 posts members are allowed to access the OC classifieds forum) then you could easily piece together a used but better preforming setup here for less. I'm not too sure on those conversion rates but I'd never spend $80 on a little system like that in the US...
