Password-Protecting folders over network??

In short -- I want only my computers to be able to access the HDD's on my Server Rig and nobody else.

What would be the best way to do this?

Username and password for the shares? Remove "everyone" from the list, only users that you create can access.

That would be the easy way, me thinks.

^^ yup.

you could make a user the same as your other machine so it just logs in with you needing to make a user pass, as long as you use the same account on your other system it will be seemless.
