*points and laughs* :p
you jump over the broken bridge and find the room with the switch to lower the drawbridge and go through that door

hey...dont laugh at me :eh?:

just kidding, anywayz...i figured it out myself, but instead of jumping the bridge (i missed) i fell into the water and followed the sewer route and found a whol secret level :D ...its a really weird level with all them water snakes that i hate....darn things are exactly like the ones in half life and Seious Sam just uglier with worse graphics.....

also...cmon i know sombeody can force 32 bit color.....

im pretty sure you need to have a knowledge of opengl coding (assuming thats the type of driver youre using) to force it. you need to issue a special command to force it, then bind that command to a key for easy forcing.

unfortunately, ive forgotten all this. ill try and dig up a list of commands you can sort thru, it might help.

Unfortunately for you, and just about everyone else that doesn't own one. Quake 1, 2, and 3, were optimized for the 3DFX chipset. I don't know of any way to force 32 bit color, without recoding the game itself. If the game itself doesn't use it, nothing you tweak is going to let you use 32 bit color.

im sure there is a way you can force the graphics to 32bit color but its like this
the game will be using 16bit when the graphics card is trying to use 32. (i think, i dunno im still asleep :p)
you can probably do it but you wont notice anything different since the game only has 16bit color textures and stuff

actually 16-bit would be great too, the only option the game gives me is "apply 8-bit textures"....guess it wont lok any better on my Gf2 than it did on my dads old Riva TNT

The 8 bit textures option is for performance... if you disable it the game will use 16 bit. I had an email about this but I deleted it...

People still play Quake 2? I though that was the worst Quake ever released, but thats just my opinion.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure your sig it out of date. We're 3rd in the world, behind [H] and OC Austrailia.

what are you talking about? quake 2 was the best. it was quake 3 that was the worst one released. there was absoutley no storyline to it at all, well at least to single player. all it looked like ID did was release a game engine and threw together a single player and pultiplayer to call it a game.

yeah, i beat it before but i gave up on it this time remembering how much of a pain it was to find each red pass and blue pass, and back then i was amazed by the graphics (when my dad first set up his PIII450/TNT system) but now its really annoying.....so back to Unreal Tourney it is :)...oh yeah, i do like it more than Q3 Arena.....gameplay is fun....doesnt rnak up there with Half-Life or Max-Payne though in playability
