Hi all,
I recently upgraded to the iPhone (love it) and resold my 700w/wx phone on ebay. The buyer messaged me stating he "couldn't use the phone because it's a 700w and not a 700wx". I don't have any documentation anywhere on what model I did have (obviously thought it was th wx since that's what I listed in the auction). No mention of specific model on my paper phone bills and all traces of phone data are removed from the account on my old provider's website. I also listed in the auction and auction title this was a VERIZON phone.
I think they're trying to activate it with another carrier that may not support the 700w (if that's indeed true that I listed it as the wrong model). By all indications using online searches I can only find mention that the differences between the 700w and 700wx are what the carriers support. So if this is the case, and I listed Verizon as the carrier and their issue is trying to use it on another carrier, does that make my possible model number error a non-issue? I don't obviously want to go through the hassle of refunding and paying for return shipping if they're using the device out of the context in which it was intended, and that's their only reason for requesting a refund.
