I got a dvd player for my computer last christmass and finaly got a dvd to try on it. I put the dvd in and there was a popup that has a couple of addresses and thin a exit botton. It said if you want to play the dvd you press exit and start your dvd player, so I did and pressed "play"
A screen apears with different countried labeled 1,2,3,4,5
after that it doesnt do anything......just sits there.....
what is wrong with it?
Im using Powerdvd that came with the player.
Ive never used a dvd player before so I donno what to expect
gf2 ultra is the graphic card set to 16bit 1024X768 in the control panel
any suggestion would be helpful.

any suggestion would be helpful. I believe that would be to select the country region you are in. You have to select one before it will play..also I believe you can only change this like four times so don't keep changing it or it might get stuck on the wrong region.....
p.s This should have been posted in General Hardware...

I'm assuming your "*grin*" means that you know post count means pretty much nothing.
Try reinstalling the program, something may have gone wrong when you first installed it. It's not too uncommon.

Sorry Crystal - Just another utterly pointless irrelevant sentence emerged from the deep pits of my primitive brain.
If the post count is unimportant - why does it say our count below our name (as well as stars of which amount is dependant on our post count)
hmmm....
I will now embark on an adventure to the top of the Himalayas to get in touch with myself

I tryed installing Powerdvd many times with no luck
I think I will go to video city or block buster and try another dvd to see if its not the dvds fault.
