I'm stuck on a laptop temporary and its a compaq x1460ca. Processor is slow... memory is only 512mb. I opened it up and it looks as if it's 256 on the motherboard and 1 memory card slot open with a 256 stick in it already.
Would removing my 256 mb stick and putting in a 1 gig stick make much of a performance increase? I know it'd be a bit faster, but how much? The overall speed of the computer is alright, I don't really do much other then internet, few small games, messenger, all that small stuff. It just takes a long time to load if I just started the laptop up, or if i'm doing a few things at once.
