I have an external enclosure for my WD6400AAKS coming from newegg. I am wondering if I have to do anything to the drive before I put it in. It already has a lot of info on it that I do not want to lose. I also plan to use e-sata at home and usb at Job Corps.

shouldnt have to do n e thing to the drive stick it in and see how it goes... if its just a standard enclosure, not one with like one touch backup or something of the sort i see no reason why it woudnt just work.

Well I just got it swapped over and powered up. It is working like a charm! If anybody is interested it is this one.
