sony psp no sound?

some one is willing to trade me his psp for my old ipod, i have no clue whats up with the sound. it has no sound out of the headphone jack or speakers, im thinking its something simple like a internal mute or something. ive fixed my ps3 b4 but never worked on something this small so taking it apart would bite.

Does he have it on mute :p Or the volume turned all the way down? As simple as though might sound, I've seen my fair share of "broken items" that weren't really broken at all.

thats how i got my ps3 for free. guy shoved the disc in, took me 15 mins to take it apart and pop the disc out. but back on subject the vol is up but still no sound. i was on google and some said there was a mute setting in the setting? i dont have it yet but it would be great if some one with one can confirm this. the person with the psp doesnt seem that bright.:screwy:

it has a mute button but it is fairly obvious
