Why is it when i power down my computer, the light on the motherboard still glows, and stuff like my network adapter still has power to it? Im using a coolermaster 750w

Standby power remains - completely normal

Turn off the switch on your power supply. May I ask why you wouldn't want standby power while its off?

will it draw a lot of power?, and will it shortan the life of perhaps the led o n the mobo or the network adapter?

Usually less than 5 watts, and no.
