I just received a 4870 from classies here. I was previously using a 4850. The 4850 had a Thermalright V2 with a Noctua NF-R8-1800 80mm on it. The thing was silent (couldn't hear it over my three case fans and CPU fan, which are low-speed Yate Loons) with the fan at full speed, and kept the card nicely cooled (~50C idle). This 4870 idles with the fan auto-set to 39%, and is about twice as loud as my case fans. GPU temperature is ~64C. Will the V2 be good enough for this card, or should I invest in an Accelero, HR-03, or T-Rad2? Silence is preferred over "great" cooling, anything better than stock is good. Has anybody got a V2 on their 4870, and can share temps?
