Welcome to OCers.com :)
I'll tell ya, the easiest and (at the very beginning) most important thing you can do is read the beginners guides located on the front page of OCers.com. These are informative and will give you the basics needed to start your oc'ing addiction. After that, hit us with any questions or probs ya might encounter. I beleive we have some of the most knowledgable and helpful members on the web here. :D
Thanks, I'll do just that.
First of all, Welcome to the forums.
The best advise I could give you at this point is to sit back and lurk in these forums for a while, pay attention to any thread that may pertain to the equipment that you have.
In addition, some time spent in the Beginners Guides, (a link is provided on the front page of this site). In there you will find a plethora of information to help you gain an understanding of the "black art" of overclocking. You will find various guides that will explain the methods to enhance the performance of your computer.
Once you understand the basics, you will be able to ask more specific questions pertaining to your particular computer.
Good Luck!

As the others said, welcome! Patience will help immensely. One of the best tips to remember, is that when you start changing things, only change one thing at a time. But there is nothing more fun than taking something, and making it work better. Have fun!
Thanks, I'll try and keep that in mind. Right now I'm working on reading through all the beginner guides and the other stuff on the front page. I have one question though. I read something about unlocking a duron chip with a pencil, what the heck are they talking about?

Like Intel, the majority of the chips manufactured by AMD are multiplier locked. But, AMD has left us (oc'ers) a way around this so we can adjust the mult up or down. A temporary solution for unlocking many AMD chips is to use a pencil and play conect-a-dot on certain contacts on the cpu. Once these are conected you have the ability to change the mult. If you do a search on "pencil trick" it should turn up a guide on how to do this.
Keep readin'. There's one heck of a lot to learn :D
I'm glad to see that you're on the right track. I'm sure that others like myself appreciate that you're taking the advise given and you are taking steps to further your knowledge. This will be to your benefit in the long run.
Good Luck!
Thanks, I'm glad to hear that I'm doing something right.
I've been reading all the beginner guides and downloading the apps and everything and am having a good time so far but I have one question that I haven't found an answer for yet, how much of this changes with windows xp? I'm just wondering if it changes how everything is displayed or if it actually changes how stuff needs to be done. Just trying to aviod screwing my PC up. Thanks
BTW found something interesting out, the MBM(mother board moniter) app says my 650 duron runs at 651 although it may not be quite accurate I thought it was something funny.
