Windows update site

Why carn't i download critical updates from their update site. Keep getting an unknown error.Just finished reformat and install any suggestions please.

I've had that problem before. You have to download and install their "Critical updates control package". If it doesn't install right the first time, you wont get anywhere until you clear I.E.'s memory cache. Then try again. That has allways solved the problem for me.

Yes the temp folder.Well, that's not what I was talking about. I'm not sure what would cause that error. Interruption of the download? A download accelerator?
Anyone, anyone...?

I d-loaded I.E. 6 from a seperate m-s d-l site without a prob just if i use windows update it gives me errors?
