So I picked up an e2160 for $25, and decided to throw together an htpc with spare parts laying around the house.

e2160 (which to my surprise is running@ 3.4ghz, 1.4v, 62c on stock cooler)
p35 ds3l mobo
2gb super talent ddr2 800
palit super+ 1gb 8800gt

My problem is with the 8800gt. It supposedly supports audio over hdmi, but I have less than a clue about how to get it to work. Palit provides nil about it, and it's not like my ati cards in my other rig. There is a 2 pin header on the card, which I suspect may be an spdif input. If so, what cable do I use for this, and what do I connect the other end to? The 2-pin spdif_O on the mobo?

Anyway, I'm lost in the sauce. If someone could point me in the right direction I'd surely appreciate it.

thanks

Your Video Card does not support true HDMI audio sadly.
Also DVI can not pass sound, so it you are using a DVI to HDMI adapter you are SOL.

^^ what he said.

does your mobo have S/PDIF audio out? can put that into your stereo...

right now ATI is where it is at for HDMI out via video cards.
