I just got win xp and my Music becomes jittery when putting the cpu under the slightest load (Opening IE does it) I tried the drivers that XP setup for me and I also went to creative.com and downloaded their XP drivers......any ideas

in the SoundFont - AudioHQ i've set asside 255.50MB for Static caching......which should be more than enough.

I don't think it's that i don't have enough CPU or ram. I even tried unclocking my rig and see if it went away and it didn't

If you guys need to know more about my hardware let me know

Sound Blaster Live Value + Klipsch speakers

PS.....does anyone know were the smooth scrolling option is in XP?

welcome to the cozy little triangle of incompatibility that is known as XP-nVidia-Sound Blaster...they have a look of driver problems to work out, I'm afraid....

I have the same trouble with my SB Live Value card, There are also issues with SB and AMD/VIA chipsets.

So are you guys just living with it untill hopefully they fix it?
or have you all found a way to suppress it some?

I dont even use the sound anymore :( I'm planning on getting a diff card, and putting the SB Live back in my old system. Here is something i came across, it might be able to help you some http://shs-sound.paraknowya.com/ Also i dunno if you checked yet, but see what your IRQ sharing is, and try to get the SB Live on its own IRQ

actually, I use a soundblaster live card, and I had an nVidia TNT card, all in at the same time, with absolutely no problems. I still use the SB...I was just quoting what is obviously a problem for a lot of people....guess it depends on your rig, and your luck
