ok so im going raid 0 next week and i literally JUST formatted to xp64 bit yesterday.

can i create my raid array and then image my existig hd over with no issues?
if so will this hurt my performance vs just sucking it up and reinstalling.

i can still partition my raid array with no loss of performance for dual booting right?

thank you

thank you You'll have to have the drivers installed for the RAID controller with your current OS installation before imaging to the RAID controller, or you'll BSOD forever when trying to then boot from it. Partitioning an array is no different in performance than compared to a single drive. Furthermore, make sure your imaging software can recognize the RAID controller you have or you won't be imaging anything. I use Acronis True Image 10 and have to use a BartPE Windows boot disk with the TI 10 plugin and with the RAID controller drivers installed with the boot CD for the Intel ICH9R controller to do imaging with it.

it should have installed the drivers with the chipset drivers and wat not right?

do i lose performance with an imaged drive vs a clean install

it should have installed the drivers with the chipset drivers and wat not right? If the RAID controller hasn't been in RAID mode, just IDE or ACHI mode, the drivers aren't installed becuase Windows couldn't recognize it as a RAID controller.

do i lose performance with an imaged drive vs a clean install Not if the image is as clean as a fresh install. The act of imaging has no adverse effect.
