Just got a deal on a Big Momma with 1/2" fittings.

If you have one of these is one 120mm fan cutting the mustard?

~paid $30 bucks and building this H2o system from the ground up.

Ordered a couple 295 g/h Maxi Jet pumps but i am sure I have at least 5 or 6 Powerful fountain pumps and several aquariam powerheads laying around I'm going to try. Being a retired aviation engineer, if I can't have a redundant pump its not getting built ;)

I don't quite have the big momma, but my heater core is only 25mm longer than it (fin area). 120 mm does a great (and quiet) job even when I had it at 7 volts.
Great deal, by the way, Congratulations.

i think for the best performace position the fan 1inch from the heater core

Yes, 1-2" of ducting for fans is best for radiators, less noise and better airflow than a direct mount. I'd say got for a 172mm if you can source one easily, they're MUCH better than 120s.
