Hi, I want to make my kids' win2k box not allow chatting.
They always seem to chat with bad sorts.
How can I allow them to get email but not chat ?
Is there an IE security setting I can use in admin mode?
Thanks!

I would believe that you would be albe to do this with a firewall and block the ports or protocols used by the chat client. If the chat is java based just disable in the internet explorer settings

They are just using the msn chat that you get by going to start/programs/accessories etc.

I think it goes to a netmeeting site, too.

yea found it
its in program files\netmeeting

just go and right click on the conf.exe then
click on
properties\security

then deny everything for the user u dont want to get this program

but my guess is they will find other ways to chat
