Ok, i am a strategy addict, be it RTS or TBS. Also, love the war theater setting , especially WW2. But cant seem to find many games regarding a setting that's so vastly popularized by FPS shooters.
Ones I know of are CoH are HoI:2
HoI is a great game, but it seems to be a bit more complicated in micro management of units, especially sea units . I was wondering if there was a Civ4 kind of game that focuses on the 20th century events like WW2 .
Hoping for some input from all ye folks :p

I think CoH is one of the best WW2 rts' out there. Also CoH is a little more forgiving as far as micro managing. Not sure if you have played, but you manage squads instead of single units and its really more about stradegy and not building huge armies and steamrolling the competition.

Well by Micromanaging i meant managing individual armies/platoons/fleets/brigades in HoI. However, I am not impressed by the second characteristic that you pointed out...I want to play some thing that allows more complete control, with depth somewhere between Civ4 and HoI2.
I see some Civ4 mods as potential space-filler, but something retail, more focused would be soooo good

PS: Although I am looking for a strategy game, I feel TBS and games like HoI2 with meta scale are much closer to reality than RTS games.
