what do you want to cool? is this for performance or quietness?

if there is not alot of room inside, you can go outside.

here is how mine is setup currently.

going for maximum cooling! i have no problem mounting the RAD external. I thought about getting one of those Swiftech kits but im not too sure about them. I want to cool just the cpu right now but may add a VC into the loop down the road. Running a loop to my 7900gs would be a waste.

then it sounds like my setup is ideal for you as thats exactly what i did. and it cost me $289 so it should work out.

swiftech kits are great since they use there individual parts to make them.

here is what i ordered, though if the Swiftech Apogee GTZ was out at the time i would have gotten it over the Dtek fuZion V2 i have now.

here is my system

1x Swiftech MCP655 Pump (https://www.jab-tech.com/Swiftech-MCP655-B-12-VDC-Pump-Without-speed-controller-pr-3803.html) = 69.99
1x D-tek FuZion V2 (https://www.jab-tech.com/D-tek-Fuzion-V2-pr-4155.html) = 63.95
1x Swiftech MCR 320 rad (https://www.jab-tech.com/Swiftech-MCR320-QP-K-Triple-120mm-Radiator-pr-3320.html) 53.95
10x ClearFLEX 60 Tubing 1/2" ID / 3/4" OD (https://www.jab-tech.com/ClearFLEX-60-Tubing-1-2-ID-3-4-OD-pr-2431.html) = 8.90
6x YATE LOON 120mm Case Fan (https://www.jab-tech.com/YATE-LOON-120mm-Case-Fan-D12SH-12-High-Speed-pr-3771.html) = 19.80

total = $216.58

i would get Tygon tubing over the clearflex 60 as it has couded up on my twice. als don't forget things like clamps, distilled water + pt nuke (http://www.petrastechshop.com/pepcobi1.html), and what ever else you may need for your setup, not sure on it.

do you want a T line or res? if its a T line you will need to add a T and if its a res the Swiftech Microres is very good.

probably just use a reservoir. Clamps i can get as many as i need from work. I will look some of this stuff up. Thanks for all the links.

q6600 running at 3.5GHz @ 1.4v vcore

here is the res i'm talking about

Swiftech Micro Res (https://www.jab-tech.com/Swiftech-MCRES-Micro-pr-3093.html)

Swiftech Micro Res REV 2 (https://www.jab-tech.com/Swiftech-MCRES-Micro-Rev-2-pr-4312.html)

doesn't bug me, as long as i can get some low temps its all good. honestly i can't hear the rad fans at all when there at 5v's. the black and white one are also silent since there low cfms, 50 tops i believe. plus i have the logtiech Z-5500's win most of the time as far as bass and noise is concerned :)

don't get the little box that pushes the radiator out of the cases to extend the distance (by swiftech) - it's cheap plastic that's very brittle.

lol, rad box is what i think they call it. i always thought they were metal.

i would never buy it only because its like $20 last i checked. plus my homemade one is farther back and stronger. doesn't look as good but i'm not here for that...

I'm presently using a Radbox Rev 2 and it is made out of plastic, but isn't all that bad. But, if I were using it with a triple rad I would definitely rig up some kind of support brace for the end of the rad away from the Radbox. A triple rad gives too much leverage on the radbox if you accidentally would push on it on the end away from the radbox. I will probably end up making a support for my double rad just for that reason. But the Radbox itself isn't that brittle. It does mount things a little close to the back of the case though and could give you problems if you are running multiple monitors.

That's some nice temps you are getting, Spawn. Better than what I get with the MCR220-QP Res radiator. Mine runs around 58-61 C at 3.6 with 1.43v vcore running P95 (just made a 2 hour run checking things out). Normal load temps run around 48-50 C while crunching Seti. Not as good as your temps but still plenty decent.
