I been looking for something similar to FaH and Rosetta and what they do , and I think other Organizations might do good for the world too .
What about people choosing another Boinc Managered project ?
Find out about it and do a small report back in like a week or so , what do you think ?
I am looking at World Community Grid (http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/index.jsp) . I like what they are doing , but its really 5 projects in 1 . ( you can choose from their list)
OCForums was a listed team but no points/members. OCForums Team Page (http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewTeamInfo.do?teamId=01FG4T4VRP1)
I just did it this morning and no stats til 24hrs after first WU turned in . wcg (World Community Grid) does have a nice interface that ponies up with BOINC , it changes Icon in tray .
more to come as I find more info .
I'll scout around and see what's out there, but I'm 90% sure I won't be working for another project right now.
1) I have an obligation to do some folding for Santa in FAH,
2) I put a lot of effort into our Rosetta team. One stupid act by a project Administrator turned that upside down. Once burned, twice shy, I guess.
I don't like FAH's software decisions all the time, but they never punk you out.
3) To start and build a good team, you need lots of good teammates. The good teammates I know of that are good at building up a new team, are back in Rosetta, (or FAH), still. :)
Recruiting new DC volunteers has been equated to pulling teeth without the benefit of anesthesia. :D :D
You didn't find FAH or Rosetta to your liking? FAH is quite messy with their folding programs right now, that's true. Good project though. Rosetta is a good project also, you just have to steer clear of David E K, so you don't get punked.
If you're looking to start a new team, (or rebuild an old one), you should know it's difficult to get volunteers for it.

I still have a rig at work folding , got a machine or 2 at home doing rosetta , and 1 doing WCG . I may just do like others suggested and do Boinc Combined . not sure yet .
I do like Boinc for the fact that you can do pretty much anything under it except FaH but many similar .
BOINC projects are nice,
I'm in the process of transfering rigs back to SETI, but 1 will stay on Rosetta. I'm also running Dimes for internet mapping, it doesn't interfere with FAH, Rosetta, or SETI. This is on 3 out of 4 rigs.

I see your in Dimes , HOLY CRAP!!!!! I gotta learn about VMing them
I've never understood the support for Net Dimes. You're working for the Israeli's, trying to locate where people who use the internet, are located.
Why would you want to do that?
As I see it, the data is great for spies, stalkers, special forces teams that want to target (assassinate) someone.
Not much else.
I looked at the other BOINC projects, (although clearly the list was not complete). Predictor@home looked good, but they are shut down, for an undetermined amount of time. So were the French & Japanese protein folding projects.
Would you believe that there are TWO other Adak's on BOINC combined stats?
 To the Sons & Daughters of Adak Island ! :)
Net Dimes is one of those projects that I come and go on. Way back when, I was looking for something that would run with Folding and not compete for resources. My old folding team stumbled on Dimes and started a team. Recently I switched from my old team to support the OCF team.
As it stood when I first signed up for Dimes, the internet had never been mapped. From what I understand it's (internet) system was laid out by a blind man with an etch-a-sketch.

Haha Dimes all for the points, I could give a crap about the project itself. I haven't loaded it up on a computer in a really long time though :-/
*edit - Just looked and I'm still turning in work on 4 machines, and still ranked #43 on the project

well i did QMC for a while as well as another project lattice... if i recall right i was the only one that did lattice for the team even though someone signed us up for it. i thought it was neat, along the same lines as rosie. we just dontate our cpu's for other peoples research. may help more people that way just another out there...
http://boinc.umiacs.umd.edu/team_display.php?teamid=427
here is another i did for a short time, i think it was SN that brought it up some time ago, QMC
http://qah.uni-muenster.de/
my atom box is down the psu fan is acting up... im going to stick it out in rosie a bit longer then find/help another project to get us jump started in. maybe a few can help in lattice part time?
I signed up for Lattice, part time on one rig. I guess there is no work for that project right now. Oh well, when they have work I'll be ready.

I'm tempted to switch back over to Einstein@home, doing physics calculations just seems "more worthy" in my book :)

When I started crunching again I was gonna start back up in Einstein too, but everyone was all rallied for the Rosetta team so I stuck with that. I think I'll move a computer over in a few days.
