Well, I know I should be able to hit 4ghz with no problem............ So what are the settings I should use in the bios? The system is:

Asus PgQ Deluxe
Intel E8400 E0
Corsair Dominator 2X2gb with the fan
Tuniq Tower 120 CPU cooler.

Please help. I swapped a 3.2ghz E6400 for the E8400 and I can only get 3.6 (unstable according to Prime).

What frequency are your Corsair's rated at? And post all of your current BIOS settings at 3.6 GHz using the following template...

Since I really did not know where to begin I set it up exactly like you posted above except I used 425 on the FSB and DDR-1066 on the Memory. I was mainly wondering about Voltages and stuff like Disable Bit, virturalization, etc and you set me in a good direction. I am more stable at 3.825 ghz now than I was at 3.6 before. Temps are 50C with P95 running. Will try for 4.0 soon. Thanks for the help and I'll post my final settings up when I get to 4.25 or better.

OK, about all I have changed is the FSB and DRAM Freq/ The voltage is the same as is all the other settings. Will this work, or will I need to bump the voltage a little?

Give these settings a try...

Code:
CPU Ratio = 8
FSB Frequency = 500
FSB strap to North Bridge = Auto
DRAM Frequency = 1002

CPU Voltage = 1.37500 (you may be able to lower the Vcc, depending on the VID of your chip)
CPU PLL = Auto
FSB Term = Auto
DRAM Voltage = 2.1
NB Voltage = Try at AUTO (1.1), and no more than 1.3

Load Line Cal. = Enabled
CPU Spread Spectrum = Disabled
PCI-E Spread Spectrum = Disabled

CPU Clock Skew = Auto (you could also try 400)
NB Clock Skew = Auto (you could also try 100)

Went with those settings and them modified them. The changes are below:

FSB: 525
CPU Voltage: 1.375

Running at 4.2 right now and could not be happier. Will try higher in the coming weeks.................. THANKS TO ALL!!!!

Hy, sorry for reviving an ol thread but the thread can maybe resolve my problem.
I have an E8500 and an P5Q-Deluxe. The problem is that if i go over 420FSB i can't set a memory frequensy under or equal to 800Mhz. What can i do? If i go over 840Mhz i have BSOD, "page fault in non paged area".

Without knowing what RAM you have, either loosen the timings and / or increase the DRAM voltage. For instance if the RAM is rated at 4-4-4-12 and 1.90 Vdimm, loosen the timings to 5-5-5-15 at >840MHz and / or bump the Vdimm to 1.95V or higher. And instead of immediately trying to boot into Windows at the higher DRAM frequencies, run Memtest86+ first to verify RAM stability.
