i know this has been asked a few times..
but is cooling a rad with a mini freg worth it?
i posted about this like 4 months ago..
but i was told the freg would burn out and blah blah
id like to go plet, but i dont wanna have to buy a psu for it, and my waterblock isnt made to take one (and i dont wanna mod it)
id like to put the res and rad in the freg, would that be a prob?
it would also keep me from going down stairs every 10mins to get more soda ;)
aslo, what about noise? do you think the mini fregs would be under 40db?
thanks ;)

i you plan to do the mini fridge have a look here http://www.spodesabode.com/view.php?pageid=vapor as long as you coll the fridge well it should work.
as for the pelt don't bother as you will achive good temps anyway and you will have to get a new block and you will need another psu
the mini fridge should be quiet, keep it under your desk to keep the noises to a minumum

well what temps do you think id get if i get a mini freg?
cuz there about 100-150 depeneding on size and quailty..
im just wondering if its worth it enough to do it..
i was thinking about cutting a retangle square in the side of the freg and making it so i could side the rad in and out.. u know? and make a thing on the rad so it would lock in place to seal the hole.. i hope u get what im saying.. i dont think i could draw my idea any better...
im kinda pondering.. either getting a freg or a massive rad.. but i think the freg is a way better option..

on the website Dr surlyjoe got a drop of 20 degrees F below ambient, quite good i recon. dont cut up the fridge/freezer, they have lots of stuff to minumise heat loss, i would attach the rad to the inside of the door so when you open it it comes out, get the fridge. you could probably get one for about $10, and if it dosn't work, you can probably get lage heater core for about $10 aswell.

well id like to have my tbird never go over 37C or 100F even at extreme load..
im at 44 idle and i get up to 58c load depeneding on room temp..
my room gets 30c sometimes.. cuz im right above the kitchen.. and i dont get much airflow through my room..
and idea's on what i could do? id liek to keep the same water block, and pump so i guess id wanna chage the rad basically..

you beat me to post this, yesterday i was thinking this, i went and got my frig out of the shed, its a little college dorm frig and i put it in my room, it makes almost no noize, the cold element thing is like a L and my radiator would fit perfectly in there, but i would need some kind of fans blowing through that.... for it to work eficiently... and i was thinking of using a rezzivore in there and that would work! but i talked to my dad(its his frig) and he wont let me put them holes in it to mount tubes thru. so i guess i cant really do it...maby ill find a way to do it
or just use a frig and make it vapochilled. there is a compresser on the back its like 6x6x6 or so... and i dont know about the condencer....
and i dont know about the block and how that would work?
if anyone has any ideas please let me know..

I'd go for a bong/cooling tower. It's much cheaper, performs better, and has NO risk of condensation :). Check out the watercooling articles and do a search for "tower" on the index page to find a good article called Nuclear Tower Cooling on overclockers.com.

yea, but u have to change the water to much, and a freg is alot smaller, and best of all it came be used as a freg too :)
