I just bought the ALL in wonder 8500 with all it's bells and whistles, I was wondering if it's performance is the same as the Radeon 8500??

I believe so. However, you can look here: http://www.ati.com/na/pages/products/pc/pc_index.html?parent=0&folder=16&doc=14#radeon8500

well Madonion goes by chipset.. so that doesn't help...
I hope it's equal or better..
and that I end up getting the retail and not OEM or whatever that problem was with the cards..
but I'm getting it straight from ATI through their EPP

The Retail Built by Ati 8500 is 275/275 with 3.6ns mem
OEM 8500's are 230/230 or 250/250 some with 3.6ns memory some have 4ns mem.
the main R200 GPU is actually a slightly under-clocked version of the standard 8500, 230 MHz/380Mhz compared to the normal 8500's 275/550 core/memory speeds.
I did find this interesting:

I cross referenced this memory chip on the AIW and it appears the Memory is indeed underclocked by ATI
Part No. Max Freq. Max Data Rate Interface Package
K4D263238M-QC50 200MHz 400Mbps/pin SSTL_2 100 TQFP
Its 200mhz ddr and instead of running it @200, ATI clocked it at 190
*Maximum clock frequency up to 222MHz

Still a pretty awesome card ;)

yes, you need a converter from coaxial cable to composite or svideo though so you can just plug it in the back of your video card...
Personally this is my next upgrade. Figure it will reach $200 one day :p
why?
just buy a tv card and pair it with a 8500 :)

Whoa whoa whoa. Wait. You got the 8500 Ati all in wonder right? (DV) Or was it something else. Cause the all in wonder should accept Coaxial Right in the back.
I have the ATI All in wonder with Rage 128 Pro (I Wish I had a radeon Or the 8500 all in wonder) and I watch TV on mine all the time. Plugged Coax right into the system. Please let me know though cause I don't want an 8500 all in wonder if theyres no Coax in the back.
