Can you run a computer without a C.D.-Rom. Right now my computer is running fine, but I paln to build a spare for a friend til her`s gets done. I plan on using my C.D.-Rom in it so I can install windows in it.

Ok cool thanks. I don't know if I said this before, but my rig is 100% stable right now. Her`s however is dead or at least acting like it`s dead. So I'm goin to build her a back up at let her use my C.D.-Rom and floppy. The only bad thing is I won't be able to play Ghost Recon for awhile.

Sorry, but this topic IS NOT something that can be discussed within our Forums. This point is made expressly clear in our Forum Guide, found at the top of every Forum Topic. Warez, Crackz, and Copyrighted material

This is to clarify the position of this site regarding Warez information and warez sites, Crackz and information about crackz, and the posting and downloading of copyrighted material.

Overclockers prohibits the promotion of, and reference to, any program or website which contains or distributes Warez, Crackz, and pirated copyrighted material, including but not limited to music and video.

Discussion of Warez, crackz, and pirated copyrighted material is not permitted in this forum. Any offer to provide or request to receive warez, crackz, and bootleg material will be deleted without notice and the offender will be warned. A repeat offense is grounds for permanent dismissal, without recourse, from these forums.

This is a serious issue for this Forum. Allowing discussion of and, by extension condoning the distribution of, said information jeopardizes the very existence of this Forum. As such, it will not be tolerated. For the long-term future of this site, please abide by this rule.

Thanks,

We don't tread lightly with these issues. This is one of the few things that can bring the entire website down, and NONE of us want that. You've been here long enough to know better than this.....

Please don't discuss this subject in the open Forums again. You are free to e-mail the other party about this, if you like, but don't discuss it in the Forums.

Cracking and hacking and warez are not discussable on these forums. Please edit your post and remove your suggestions and read the forum rules.

Hmm KS said it...

Don't mention or even bring up the fact of cracks or Warez altogether.

Even worst you added probably a site or some what and search engine may toggle it down to this site exposing us to maybe get us shut down.

Please edit or delete the post immediatly.

Klownin why not just buy a spare 24x or 32x for a cheap price and give it to her.

That`s what I'm looking in to. I found one here in town for $32 and it`s a 52X. I was just looking for a fast fix.

if its just a regular cd rom (and not an RW) then a cheap value drive shouldn't make a difference. i've seen fast ones on sale for as little as $20.

Um I am sorry, .................................................. .......Thanks.

See the post above, for the reason why this one was edited. Apology accepted. But regardless, this subject cannot be discussed here. Period.

This is our biggest, and foremost concern. While they aren't tolerated, flamewars and swearing will not get us shut down...this can, and will.

Thank you.

(If you're that tight on the $$...I've got a CD rom you can buy. PM me for details if you might be interested. I'd rather that, than you post this reference again.)
