How big is the room you're going to put them in? Well if it's average size, then yeah, Logitech Z-5500s bro. They're THX certified speakers, they decode DTS, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital EX, Pro Logic, they're great man. They take 3 inputs, coax, optical, and 3 channel direct from a computer. Unlike other speakers, the bass doesn't wash out the voices at all. If you have a digital cable box with optical or coax out definitely use it. I mean even during commercials you get sound behind you. Make sure you have the surround setting on the decoder set to max. The bass is pretty impressive. I usually keep mine at 40% which is already significant. You can probably find a refurbished set at newegg for around $250, otherwise they're like $300 brand new. I have two pairs of these bad boys. Even playing the zelda on the gamecube in ProLogic is great hehe. Anyhow, the only downside to these speakers that I have is that the decoder cannot decode PCM. So, if you're playing Blu-Rays, the best sound you can get is ProLogic. Although, I had heard there's a workaround this. Anyhow, I would definitely say these speakers are the best bang for your buck.
