When the Pirates showed up I jumped in with both feet. I've started to switch rigs back to SETI, I haven't fully decided, maybe 50/50. I think I might have to change my avatar.

ya i am sure i will have my feet in all 3, i always liked f@H for what it stood for vs seti myself, but all the problems just set me off of it.

LOL! And please make it at least 50/50 if you can. You are our second highest cruncher(only 200 out of top spot!), and I for one don't want to see you go anywhere! It would be a terrible shame to loose all that crunching power.

Well I had intentioned Rosetta to be temporary, but....

I had already transitioned rigs back to Seti, currently transitioning again. After all it is similar to folding. Needless to say my RAC will drop, but it will only be temporary.

I think I'll stay with rosetta, at least until I hit 1 million points. I'm going for the trifecta, seven digit scores with the Big Three OC D/C teams.

Welcome Guv! :welcome: This is indeed a good project to park your leftover cores orphaned on FAH GPU rigs, or rigs where you can't deal with WinSMP or VMs.

IMO, I consider joint participation in Rosetta and FAH better in the long run for science, as the two organizations are approaching the same goals form different angles. Hopefully between the two, more will gained.

Welcome Guv... I apparently can't get away from Rosetta, either. I've been debating the SMP F@H I've got running on my Q6600...
One C2D for Rosetta makes a good impact, but I liked having the Quad going too ;)

drshivas is right, I think, that it's nice to balance our contributions between F@H and R@H.

i had heard of rosetta and it was more in common with science and such then looking for aliens, which does appeal to me more then aliens.

i couldnt just assign one rig, i often think i have ADD, i switched everything to Seti, got some good numbers , rose in the ranks, but now i need something new.. and rosetta sounds good.

and i wont deny, being that not many people are on the team and i can rise the ranks fast does appeal to me, i like progress and a challenge, so who knows, the following weeks could show me moving several other rigs other

it isnt worth most of my rigs, to me, to do F@H due to them having to run the old single client to do anything really useful... i am very much go big, or go home, is why i switched 4 rigs over to rosetta instead of just one spare i had :D

worked may way to 10th place and the best thing is, no problems with clients, they just run!

Well havent done any folding at all for anything, at work i have been redoing all our servers and trying to cut our power bill so all clients are gone

at home has been so hot in the day i turn my rig off when i go to work, but just installing rosetta back on now my home rig, Q9650 only @ 3.9 right now, but i finally have a case on the way since right now my rig is on my desk and the sun hits it hard mid morning so even water doesnt keep it super cool.
