Ok, I wanna do the vidmod to my celly 1.2, but i'm a little new to this. I would like either a link to a step-by-step, or an actually picture showing what pins to u-jump on my st6. Thanks.
BTW, I already seen the posts about ol-man pics. I would rather see the chip with it wrapped up, or a schematic on the actual socket with the u-jumps in place so I can reference them. THanks again.
Good thinking I wanted to see it as well as I just know vidpin is wrapping the wires. I haven't seen what kind of wire it was wrapped with and how you actually finished it off as I kept thinking you just took a wire wrap it around and stick it in and snap the bar down where the wire would come in contact of the surface of the pin board and crush the pins or something.

Yah, i'm kinda anxious here, im @ 129fsb and she's rock stable @1.6, im run prime95 and CPUStability Test all night last night. Then I looped Q3 for about 2 hrs this morning. Temps only got to about 25C posted by the Abit Hardware Doctor. Im feeling kinda lucky and think not only can I get 1.6 rock stable, but maybe I can get greedy and let er burn at 1.6 all night and go for 1.7 tommorow...I know...im dreaming..but I *might* have that magical chip ya know...:D
Yea I think you can hit 1.6 indefinite but 1.7 is going to take real power and real burn ins :D

Do the pin hole method instead. Get a tiny piece of wire about the thickness of a human hair. Bend it into a U with both sides about as long as a CPU pin. Drop it in the holes in the socket. Then put the CPU in. It should go in with no additional force necessary. If it doesn't, the wire is too thick. I used a strand of speaker wire.

Ok, I understand that part, But as a reference, I would need something to refer too...I have seen this picture, but Its hard for me to relate it to the socket. PLease help. THanks again.
Also, do i need to nail polish the other one? Or is that an option?

For an update to everyone else. I got my celeron 1.2 yesterday. All I need is some money for a board now. Still havn't decided on the gigabyte or the Abit. Dosn't really matter now because i'm broke. College starts up again next thursday and I need the cash for books.

Yep, a good pic indeed. Just remember your looking at the bottom of the chip...so if you do the pin hole method Keep in mind the chip will be fliped over. And the holes in the socket will be in a different position.
