i got this 3dmark 2k1 score with win2k...

3503 (not too bad)...
anyways, what kind of point increase would i see with WinXP and the newer series of drivers available for XP?
on a side note, would i see a point increase going from cas2 to cas3?
In the assumption that you tweak XP to no end if you decide to use it, I would say you would see a slight increase in your score. This also applies to setting your memory settings to CAS2.
If you are experiencing bottlenecks elsewhere, setting the memory to CAS2 probably won't help much, if at all.
I doubt you will actually "see" any performance gain out of either.., if you do gain a 100 points or so.

you wont see much of an increase of a 3dmark score or FP's
since XP uses a Win2k kernel, with lots of extras tacked on
id stick with win2k and its mature drivers
you should set your ram at CAS2 if possible
it may not increase your 3dmark score, but will always help performance
:)
I have to agree w/ the other posts. Stick w/ Windows 2000, you'll be glad you did. Its much faster than XP, and the only real gaming difference I see is it gives games direct hardware access (good for games that use Real DOS Mode). That, and you don't have to tweak the b'jebus out of Windows 2000 to get it to work right.
Why would you want to go back to CAS3 if your ram is designed to run under CAS2.
There is no benefit into switching to Win XP(Especiall Home version) if you are already on Win2K.

no no im switching from cheapo CAS3 to crucial CAS2, and was wondering if that will give me a point increase.
