I have a Maxtor 30gig 7200RPM and it's not too god for overclocking. At least not in my experience. I got corrupted files from going to 150MHz FSB. I'm not sure about other brands.

Are you stuck on a 40 gig? Right here (http://www.qbitpc.com/items.asp?CartId=4092768NXSHX69&Cc=HDIIBM&tpc=) you can get a 60 gig 7,200 rpm for $111.00. i have ordered from these guys a caouple of times and they were pretty good about it.

I like WD or IBM, Seagate isn't to bad either. Check out newegg.com, they usually have decent prices and a good selection. I would recomend against Maxtor, I've never had any luck with them.

Also, just for future reference, this sort of question should probably be placed in the General Hardware section. :)
