OK heres the deal i have a single stick of DDR2 533... @ 266mhz (533mhz effective) it does 4-4-4-12 @ 1.8v.... the stick has NO problem doing 333mhz 667mhz effective @ 5-5-5-15 @ 1.8v. Problem is the mobo im trying to put it in does not post with it because its a 533mhz stick... works no problem with a stick of 667mhz ram... even if i go into the bios and set the ram freq @ 667 and timings at 5-5-5-15 the 533mhz stick will not post.

SO is there any way i can edit the spd info to make the stick 667mhz by defualt?

I have tried spd tool and tiaphoon burner and they dont work... i change the necessary timings and frequencies and wire the new info to the stick (using a mobo that accepts ddr2 533mhz ram), and it doesnt change at all.

Yes, you can flash the spd timings on your RAM, read something about it at XS a week or so ago, but don't remember even where to look for the link. It was something obvious though, shouldn't be too hard to find :)
