hi all
i'm looking at the Sennheiser 202 and then i saw the 212 Pro, which is $50 AUD more, so just wondering what the diff is.

*and i'd just like to say that i just want something that can produce sound, i don't want expensive headphones (i'm 16, student, just need some good pair of comfy headphones:beer:)

Sennheiser 202

Sennheiser 212 Pro
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=116_249_367&products_id=1120

so the difference i found where the frequencies they could operate at. the 202 can handle 18hz - 18khz, while the 212 Pro can handle 12hz - 19khz

is there an immense difference between the two? and also, i was wondering if anybody knew if these were headphones that surrounded the whole ear (would that be closed headphones by any chance? )

thanks

EDIT: i'm in Aus, so i only have access to a few companies : razor, creative, sennheiser, logitech
and i can't fork out $400 for a pair of headphones lol. hope you all understand.

thats the difference.
.

why not look directly on Sennheiser own website ofr the most info and usually pics

my friend had the 212 and it looked like they were JUST barely bigger then the ear, they dont cover your ears like the 595's do, completly.

hmmm, yeh i want headphones that can cover my whole ear. looks like i won't be finding any in the cheap section.
guess you can't get everything. got any ideas on some other good cheap but good headsets from Logitech, Sennheiser or Creative?

well depends what you consider cheap, i have seen people selling HD series one 590's and 595's for sub $200 (considering i paid $400CAD for mine new about 2 years ago)

i consider cheap as around $50 AUD
the Sennheiser 212 is already $59 AUD over here lol. other options are Creative Fatal1ty headset and FQ 1400. are these Creative headphones any good? or are they rubbish?

According to the site you posted both are Closed and Supraaural (sits on the ear, doesnt cover the whole ear).
If your budget is >$50, then get HD201. It's Close and Circumaural (covers the whole ear).

For $42 free delivery AUS-wide.

wow! static, are you Aus based as well?
$42 does seem tempting, especially since it covers the whole ear. i find this the most comfortable. is the soudn quality any worse/better than the 202 or 212 pro?

static, if you are Aus based, i found the Sennheiser 201 for $39 at PC Case Gear.
there's also the 201 Gaming, which is $49. do you know if there's any difference between the pair? or is it just a marketing thing?

Yes, in Melbourne as well.

Don't know the difference between the two. Maybe on appearance but not
on sound quality.
I got PX200, sound quality is ok but it's not comfy for long period of use.

As of Dec. 1, PCCasegear will no longer be offering pickups.
Everything will be posted, which is another $15.

i know, how crappy is that. they're gonna lose some sales. (well atleast from me). i dunno why they did that. it's not like they don't have a car park or anything. it almost seems as if they're trying to stop customers from buying lol.
