View Full Version : Jukebox buttons to emulate keyboard

I am redoing an old jukebox that does not work. I want to make the buttons on the jukebox work for selecting songs from a pc using a jukebox software. Is there a way to get the buttons to emulate a keyboard? Thanks
You mean in terms of keystrokes? ps2 or usb? To avoid having to make drivers, you might try using an existing keyboard and extruding the keystokes/keys you want to emulate off the board by using your own external key/button. This what you're trying to achieve?
In some keyboards there are plastic sheets of traces and a small receiver PCB. When a key is pressed its like two of the contacts on the PCB are bridged. You can trace the traces back to the circuit board and then wire the buttons to those spots and that would get the job done.
