There will be a new cruncher added to the farm soon: my new job will be supplying me with a laptop!
I am not sure which one it will be yet, but the boss just ordered a new 1ghz Cellie Toshiba and he has to decide if he wants the hassle of transferring all of his data to it or not- I, of course, hope NOT!
The other one is 700 or 800 mhz, I think, so even that one won't be too shabby!
It won't be crunching full time since at times I'll be driving and so forth, but you gotta know that power management will be set to "never shut anything off when on ac power"! And the hdd and cpu will be that way on battery too, I expect!
