Welcome PhysX!

No optimization. Just attach and FOLD!
If you have attached to the Rosetta@home project through Boinc, the number of WU's you cruch at a time should be equal to the number of CPU cores. Assuming that you're client has downloaded enough work already to keep it busy. By default BOINC manager should DL 5 days worth of work for your machine to crunch in case of unforeseen server problems.

default in any boinc have set up is 0.25 days, i maunually change it to 10.

My default has always been 5. I know i did change it at one time at the very start on the advice of Adak. It certainly could have been from .25 to 5 I don't remember. However this must be saved somewhere in my Rosetta settings online, because ever since then it has defaulted to 5.
I also have changed it to 10 recently.

Thanks for the reminder. I was set for 3 days, I just upped it to 5. A while back I also set the runtime for each unit at 10 hrs. My cache isn't really that big, and I give the servers a little bit of a break.

Hmmm, Interesting.

i just set mine at 10 to cover any possible down time of the servers, assusres i always have work to do :D

It doesn't seem to hurt or help point wise.
I do believe I read on the Rosetta forums that they were going to change the default runtime from 3 to 5 hours to help give their servers a break.

Yea, I read that too. Actually that's one of the last updates on the Home Page. Raise the Max to 6 and min to 3 to reduce load. Wonder when that's going to take effect?

I think that's why I set it at 5 days to start with. I don't think we'll ever have a problem when servers are down for 5 days or more, but ya never know.

After I saw that message on the homepage I set my runtime to 8 hours.
