Hi all,

I've had 2 of these 300w subs in my closet now for over a year, and i want to make use of them. Im going to house them in ply, both in the same box. glue-gun all of the edges, carpet it, etc...

The thing is, these things are like 300w a piece. I am going to put them into my HTPC as soon as i can, but i obviously need a fairly decent amplifier.

I've looked around, and all i see are a load of lame 45w - 55w POS.

Has anyone got any ideas about how i can power these things? Im handy with electronics if someone can find a PCB-only amplifier - but i do need to power some mids and tweeters as well, which i would have thought a crossover would come in handy.

Does anyone have any bright ideas?

I power two Infinity perfect 12.1's in a box of my destruction w/ an old Fisher studio standard stereo receiver for my home theater. In movies it shakes the world. I've observed the windows on the 2nd floor rattling and this is just two subs each seeing 1.15 cu/ft connected to an old receiver I didn't have a use for anyway.

lol, I thought about doing away with my logitech sub and hooking up my 2 12" rockford power series subs up instead, I have 2 of the older punch 250 amps layin around but I haven't figured out a good way to power them without creating a huge fire hazard, one of those things I've been saving for a rainy day and it just hasn't rained hard enough yet

Well i've got a 42" flatscreen and it just seems so crappy watching it through a pair of tinny speakers that come with it. Im gonna hook up a HTPC in January - so with all that media plugged into the TV, i need some decent sound.

I wonder how i could integrate that stacker amp into it all though. Its made for being stacked, for like for pub gigs or something, and would look crap just layed there. Maybe integrate it into the sub box somehow... hmmmm...
