View Full Version : Anyone here have COD WoW for PC? I'm wondering how the CD key works. I hear its tied

Reason I ask is that if I buy it on Steam its forever tied to my computer since there is no DVD. If I buy it at the store I can eventually resell on ebay which I prefer to do, but if the CD key is tied to my profile it sounds like I can never sell it anyway since its tied to me online. If that's teh case I might as well buy from steam for convenience.

Hope this makes sense.

only 1 person with a key can play online at a time i believe, and you can make around 5 online multiplayer account for cod. all your online stats and stuff are tied to your cd key.

It's forever tied to your Steam account...as in if you reformat, all you gotta do is re-launch CoDWaW from Steam and it will be put into your registry again...even on another computer...but you can't have 2 copies going at the same time, one will get booted.

Or one won't be able to log on at all. Happened to me once, my friend had stolen my box with the key to "borrow it" and he logged on while I was offline. Boy did I freak out.
