I was going to get the corsair 2700 memory but thought I should check to see if it was supported with the Abit board. Quote from Abit FAQ
http://www.abit-usa.com/eng/faq/kr7a.htm

Does the KR7A/KR7A-RAID support the new DDR333 memory modules?

KR7A-RAID does not support DDR333 memory modules. It supports PC1600 and PC2100 memory standards. You may install DDR 333 memory modules on KR7A/KR7A-RAID and run them at PC1600 or PC2100.

I guess I am glad I checked. Wouldn't want to waste the extra cash. Waiting for the price drop to stop for the 2000+ and the cpu and mem will be last thing to buy.

I hope this can help anyone as it did me.

You need to do a lot of reading before you agree with that. I'm getting PC2700 for my KR7A-RAID 'cause I don't want the ram crapping out on me when I push the FSB.

That's like saying PC-133 memory won't work on a 100mhz bus board.

The board may never take advantage of the extra memory speed.

Has anyone seen OCZ PC3000 memory?

Quite interesting stuff

But the 2700 will work in that board.

I got a f'ed-up combination installed in mine.

I got 512MB of Kingmax PC2700, and 512MB of Kingston PC2100.
What happened was that I received the PC2100 free by accident, and I wasn't about to send it back!

A word of warning, if your going to use more then 2 sticks of RAM, plan on spending a hour or three (days) for installment.
Two sticks are fine, but when you add more, it's a nightmare trying to get all of them to work together. This isn't due to my different DDR, it's the motherboard, cause I'm not the only one that has had problems. Actually, I just got all 4 sticks working properly yesterday, and I started installing the 2 extra sticks on Sunday!!
I gave up for a while after the first time I tried installing the extra. (see post and especially TruckChase's at the bottom)

Getting more back to the question, the Kingmax 2700 worked fine, so if you want PC2700 for the same reasons as sonny and myself, go for it.

I'm actually in the memory section to see if I can find out what a good SiSoft Sandra score is.
My score was ALU 762 MB/s and FPU 851 MB/s.

I don't know if that sucks or not, but I'm just glad that all is working! :D

yeah...well, so far that is why anything above 2100 is referred to as overclockers RAM...yeah, they say it doesn't support 333, but when you turn those times on your RAM down and that FSB up, you'll have RAM that doesn't break a sweat...sounds like a winning combo to me.
I know cause I have the KR7A-RAID (twice)...and pc2400 and pc2700 RAM. It'll work...its just not "supported" ya know?
