To continue on with the laminar and turblent discussion, I'd like to gather as much information about individual water cooling setups as possible. If you water cool, please take the time to fill out this brief survey.
What kind of waterblock do you use?
What are the fitting sizes of the water block, radiator and pump?
What are all your tubing diameters?
What kind of pump do you have and how many gph is it rated?
Have you ever measured your actual flow rate?
If so, what was your result and how did you measure it?
Do you use a reservoir?
Is your pump located in the reservoir?
If so, what is it's total volume? (minus the pump volume if possible)
What type of radiator are you using?
What are the sizes and number of fans on your radiator?
Are you using push, pull or push/pull with your fans and radiator?
Are your fans directly mounted to the radiator or are you using either a shroud or standoffs?
If using standoffs/shroud, how far away from the radiator is you fan?
Ok, so it's not so short :) Anyhow, this information would be very useful in helping me finish the follow-up article to the laminar and turbulence discussion. I think it would also be very interesting to get a good idea of where the water cooling community stands.
Thanks in advance for your help!
