View Full Version : NoWhereM, IT'S ON!
Yes, I see you back there. Slowly sneaking up on me, hoping to pass me by, praying that I wouldn't notice.
Well you're WRONG! Even if you were to overtake me, I will not be overtaken in 2008. Not gonna happen.
If I have to drive to your house and hack away at your power line with an axe, well, I would probably pay someone to do that, but I will!

You're probably right, I won't be able to overtake you in 2008.
It would be a nice way to start off the year, though, if I could make it happen on the first day of 2009. ;)

Lol.. :D
QX9650 heading my way should help, and looking for a cheap card to throw in an older Dell system as well, maybe before you overtake me I can actually get YOU off my threats list!

Right now I'm stuffing cheesy poofs into your intake fan(s), NoWhereM.

That's cool, we need all the 10K plus ppd folders we can get. My points are down a little with the new work units (and I've been playing Stalker a bit, don't tell anybody).
That 256mb 8800gt should work out pretty well for you. I'm getting pretty much the same ppd from my XFX 256mb 8800gt as I'm getting from each of my EVGA 8800gt SC cards.
When I'm feeling up to it I'll be increasing my ppd a bit, so don't get to comfortable sitting there ahead of me. I've had the parts to add another computer that will be split between gaming and folding and when I get it built most of the hardware in this computer will be going into a dedicated folding rig. I've had some of the parts since Febuary and all the parts since June. I keep promising myself I'll get it put together, but when I feel up to it there always seems to be something else that needs to be done. :(
QX9650 is in, 4ghz is easy as pie so far. Now just waiting on my 2nd 9800GT to ge here today, and hoping the 8800GT shows up today as well.
So I guess I'm about to push the pedal to the floor and hit the nitrous!

Don't forget the VTAK.
I'd help him overtake, but I'm only making 200ish PPD. Yay.
:burn:
9800GT & 8800GT both arrived today, both running FAH.
Just need to figure out what to do with QX9650. Making 3800+ PPD from just one Ubuntu VM, maybe I'll run WinSMP and let it use what's left.

That new hardware is kicking in some nice points. I guess for the time being all I can do is wave bye as you pull off in the distance. Maybe next year...
It'll be nice to have more overtakes than threats....that's for sure!

Haha nice race. Just noticed I'm in both of your rear view mirrors. Many many months before any potential overtake though.
Let the stalk begin though. Ha.

Let the stalk begin though. Ha.I'd expect my PPD to go up to 15-18k PPD, so I'd divide that overtake number by 3!

I used to fold a long time ago on my P4, back when I was stupid enough to put a towl over my computer because it was too noisy. Got the cpu up to 80c and the fan to 5k RPM. (stock intel HSF) I think I checked the other day and had a total of 5k or so points.
But I stopped that a long time ago. I recently started again on my almost dead silent A64 2800+ sever. I also had it running on my 1.2ghz celery but I have a feeling it BSOD'd a few weeks ago or something. I haven't had a chance (been bothered enough, people make more PPD with registry tweeks then this thing makes running 24/7) to hook my monitor back up to it, so its off for now.
I might run F@H on my Q6600 when I get it, but I have a feeling that its going to be too noisy. I might try to save up for a cheapo A64X2 rig, but gotta start spending money on my VW. Just as soon as I find some.
Guess I'm the cheapest folder here then. :)
(I now return this thread to OP. Thanks for letting me borrow it :D )
