Recently I was faced with the problem of fixing 2 different computers that were having problems with AOL.
They could sign on to aol and check their mail but when they tried to view a web page on the internet, all they got was the cannot find page.
I tried everything to fix it including fully removing aol. And reinstalling.
Also fully removing internet explorer, at least reverting back to the original one that came with the os.
Even created a new user account on the computer with nothing in the startup and installed aol on that.
But the internet sites refused to work.
The only solution left that i could think of was the manufacturer's restore disk.
I know there has got to be a better way to solving this problem.
Anybody know how to fix it without trashing everything?
