I HAVE A ASUS A7V FSB200 WITH A 900TBIRD UNLOCKED

THE HIGHEST I CAN OVERCLOCK IS 1 GIG. IF I GO HIGHER THE SYSTEM WONT BOOT. I HAVE THE VOLTAGE SET ON THE MOTHERBOARD TO DEFAULT. I TRIED TO UP IT TO 1.65 BUT STILL DIDNT BOOT. WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM. WOULD I NEED TO GO AS HIGH AS 1.75 VOLT.

MY CPU RUNS USING ASUS PROBE AFTER GAMING AROUND 131 F OVERCLOCKED AT 1 GIG. IF I RAISE THE VOLTAGE HOW MUCH HOTER WILL THE CHIP GET. WHAT IS THE MAX TEMP I SHOULD BE AWARE OF?

I HAVE A SWIFTTECH MC370 COOLER.

For starters, take off caps lock. It doesn't add emphasis, just annoyance.

Second, there is a specific forum for AMD processor, and AMD motherboards. Might have more specific information.

Also, try posting your temps in both C and F, as we have many international members here, and not everyone used the American standard for temperatures.

You mentioned the Asus probe: most time in socket thermistors are incorrect. You might want to get a thermal probe to be sure of your temps.

How do you have your system overclocked? Did you increase the Front side bus (FSB) and the multiplier, or just one of the two? What did you increase them to, and what were they at before you overclocked? Did you try going up in steps, or just jump straight up? What do your voltages look like? You can find out using Sandra. Well Sandra prog said the core voltage is 1.81 I left the fsb on default. I just changed the mulitplier to 10x. Hope this helps.

I have tried looking for sites but I have had a hard time finding out info about what everyone with my exact hardware is clocking at.
